Edmee and Jayden | Golden Hour Mill Race Park Mother & Son Session | Columbus Indiana Photographer
I'm thrilled to share with you a super sweet mother and son session that I recently had the pleasure of capturing. Let's dive right in!
Meet Edmee and her adorable son, Jayden. These two have an incredible bond that is simply heartwarming to witness. We captured these precious moments right before their big move to Florida. It’s a lot to take on a move and she’s also a teacher’s assistant so the fact that she took the time to do this shoot with so much going on - I didn’t take that lightly.
Mother and Son Golden Hour Photo Shoot
The location for our session was Mill Race Park in Columbus, Indiana. The day couldn't have been more perfect. The sun was shining, and was in a perfect position that casted a beautiful golden glow on everything it touched. The weather? It was just right - not too hot, not too cold. That perfect time right before the humidity kicks in for the Summer here in Indiana.
As I arrived at the park, I noticed something really beautiful. There was a meadow nestled amongst some trees and these beautiful white wildflowers had bloomed overnight. I knew we needed to take some shots there.
Edmee and Jayden arrived, looking absolutely radiant. Edmee was beaming with joy, and Jayden couldn't contain his excitement. Seriously he was SO ready. Edmee told me the last time she had pictures taken with Jayden he was a baby. He’s now in the 2nd grade. I am so glad she decided to do this shoot! Their energy was contagious, and I couldn't help but feel a surge of enthusiasm myself.
Throughout the session, Edmee and Jayden shared countless joyful moments. They laughed, they played, and they embraced the pure bliss of being in each other's company. Honestly, their bond is SO beautiful to witness.
After taking the photos in the meadow Jayden was starting to get a little tired. I knew I wasn’t going to have much longer with him. There was one more location I wanted to shoot at. There was this tree grove just outside of the Cummin’s building that I noticed on my way to Mill Race that had some really lovely white flowers on them. The gold hour light were making them sparkle. I felt it was the perfect location to finish the shoot with.
I had an idea of what I wanted but the images came out better than I could imagine.
How gorgeous is Edmee?!?! I mean, come on!!!
I’m gonna miss having Edmee and Jayden in town but I am happy for their next chapter. I also feel a sense of gratitude. Gratitude for being able to freeze these beautiful moments in time for them. Honestly, the shoot could not have went more perfectly.
As I reflect on this session, I am reminded of the power of photography to capture and preserve love, joy, and connection. It's moments like these that me so excited about what I do.
Here's to Edmee and Jayden, as they embark on their new adventure in Florida. May their journey be filled with countless beautiful moments and may their love and bond continue to grow stronger with each passing day.
Until next time,
Stefanie
